This week HHI’s annual Affair of the Heart broke records! I am still swimming in the warm fuzzy buzz of an evening that overflowed with happy people, connecting, sharing, and giving at unprecedented levels of generosity. Our event was generously hosted by our dear friends and supporters at gDiapers.  The evening filled with music, food and inspiration, all generated by a small crowd, with giant hearts!

The net result was that new friends were made, old friends were cherished and a greater, stronger community was created on the premise that we have the collective power to make a better world.  The love in the room was expressed with record-breaking donations that total over $18,000!  This will all be doubled by our current matching grant from the Greenbaum Foundation, totally a whopping $36,000!  What this means is that HHI’s can offer compassionate and meaningful to support to thousands of caregivers, and they in turn offer sustainable love, compassion, nurturing and health for thousands of babies.  These donations mean that lives will literally be saved, while women (and men) are empowered with the knowledge of their own wisdom and power.
