The Asia-Pacific Regional Network for Early Childhood (ARNEC) is a professional network established to build strong partnerships in early childhood across sectors and different disciplines,organizations, agencies and institutions in the Asia-Pacific region.

For 2010, ARNEC selected a collection of photographs that depict key messages that emphasize the importance of care and positive interactions with not only mothers, but fathers, caregivers and others within the community for a young child’s healthy development. A beautiful picture taken at an Hands to Hearts Training in Tamil Nadu, India, taken by a community health volunteer, Pandi, is featured for the month of August.
