HHI Offers Technical Services

There is a significant gap in programming for children under the age of five and their caregivers. The international development community is just beginning to recognize that the lack of programming attention for the development of newborns and young children is a part of the problem fueling rampant disease, severe malnutrition, conflicted communities, poor education, and poverty. HHI’s program fills this gap with a curriculum that is specifically designed to reach children at the earliest, most important developmental time, before the age of five years old. HHI recognizes early childhood development as the foundation for individual, family, and community wellness, and a key to a society’s ability to compete in a global market.

HHI offers technical services through consultancies and women in training partnerships to address early childhood development through local interventions. HHI’s technical service options to its partners include:

* Practical and applied training for primary or secondary care-givers in early childhood development;
* Early childhood development care program design in community, foster care and institutional care settings;
* Consultation and support to create effective foster care programming;
* Quality certification training and accreditation; and,
* Assistance with performance monitoring and evaluation.

HHI is seeking partnerships with local and international, public and private organizations interested in:

* Joint programming for orphan and other vulnerable children;
* Receiving targeted HHI technical assistance; or,
* Bringing HHI’s early childhood development model to organizations and communities in need.

HHI has conducted programs and provided technical services to local partners in Uganda, India and Russia, with plans for expansion to improve the lives of countless orphaned and vulnerable children worldwide. HHI is currently carrying out a joint project with India’s Integrated Child Development Services, training their Anganwadi Teachers in Kerala and Orissa. HHI now offers its training services to NGO’s and Government organizations of any size, worldwide.
