The Dream of Peace

Hands to Hearts International (HHI) believes that world peace is possible and knows that it is attainable through collective commitments to simple actions. We are the solution and we can create a more peaceful world for our children and future generations. It's the little things that count! Just imagine what would happen if everyone you know in your neighborhood made a commitment to a simple action of peace once a day or even once a week. A peace commitment could be many things: bringing flowers to a friend, helping an elderly neighbor go grocery shopping, saving 1-2 dollars a week to donate to your favorite charity at the end of the year, giving a meal to a homeless person, or volunteering at a local community center. The list is infinite!

Peace Heart Project

Hands to Hearts International has started the Peace Heart Project which gives children around the world the opportunity to write their peace commitments on paper hearts that are then hung from a tree at their school, home, or any public place creating a simple yet beautiful public display of peace through art. What better way to start a movement for peace than with children, the leaders of our future and hope for a brighter day.

The sweetest thing about the Peace Heart Project is that it gives children the opportunity to help other children in the world. When you order a peace heart kit, all proceeds go directly towards HHI's work to help improve the lives of the world's most vulnerable and needy 0-5 year old children with the most cost effective and nurturing care available.

All "Peace Hearts" for this art project come from Mr. Ellie Pooh, a new eco-friendly, innovative company that sells paper made of Sri Lankan elephant dung. This eco-friendly "pooh paper" simultaneously supports the struggling elephant population of Sri Lanka and local farmers.

Each kit includes pre-cut Peace Hearts for children to write their peace commitments on, an honorary Peace Heart Certificate rewarding the class for their efforts to create peace, instructions on how to make their own Peace Tree, and information about HHI's work to help disadvantaged children around the world. Children can write peace commitments such as: pledging to stop arguing with their siblings, being a kinder classmate, helping their teacher to water plants in the classroom, helping their parents more with chores around the house, or even pledging to learn more about the stories of their own classmates. These are just some ideas.

Peace Hearts Aren't Just for Kids!

Adults can also use this peace heart kit for bridal and baby showers, birthday parties, or any gathering where creativity and art can be used.

25 Students = $25 donation
50 Students = $50 donation
75 Students = $75 donation
100 Students = $100 donation
