The James R. Greenbaum, Jr. Family Foundation is offering to matching grant to Hands to Hearts International. This provides HHI an amazing opportunity to reach more children waiting to be held and women eager for training. What will it mean if HHI raises all of these funds? In just the next six months:
· In July HHI is launching a new HHI Training Center in Orissa, and Indian State famous for its Hindu temples, tribal groups and its profound poverty. Here we will train and empower 100 women who will ensure that 500 more children will receive more nurturing and improved care. HHI is partnering with an established local non-profit who will be able to bring HHI's gift to women, children and communities in great need!
· Provide outreach trainings in the most remote parts of Tamil Nadu, where the women and children have minimal access to services and support.
· This fall HHI wishes to begin services in Delhi, where orphanages are prolific and need grows with new generations. HHI services begin to break the cycle of neglect, complex social problems and provides a new light of possibility. In the first 3 months HHI could train and empower 80 women who in turn ensure that 400 children getting more nurturing care!

HHI Trains India's Head Start Teachers!
HHI has a new contract with the Indian Government to train teachers from the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) program. ICDS is the largest early childhood development program in the world and is supported by UNICEF and World Bank. HHI has already trained some of their teachers and they all found it extremely valuable in providing improved care for the children they serve – who are exclusively from India’s poorest families.
In the Kottayam District of Kerala, HHI Trainers will lead 2 trainings per month for the next year - providing HHI training for 240 women, bettering the health, care and education for 2,400 children!
